Our New PrimaDonna Releases her First Class!!!

For those of you who don't know it yet. Our own class instructor Candra George is now working with Prima as one of their PrimaDonnas! We can't wait for all the beautiful Prima inspired classes Candra is going to have in store for us. Check out her July Class, The Pretty in Pink Memo Board and let us tell you a bit more about this talented PrimaDonna.

A bit about Candra:

Born in Moss Point, MS, Candra grew up in the family business of event design and planning. Her love of all things creative started at an early age. Art had always been a part of her life, in everything from comic strips for the sixth grade newspaper, to oil painting at 12, to becoming a floral designer at 17. Scrapbooking has been her passion since 2000 when her and her husband Wes married. In 2001 the relocated to Houston, TX where Candra started holding weekly scrapbook classes out of her home for friends. Since then, the love for digital and hybrid art has consumed her life. Currently Candra is finishing her Bachelor's degree in Consumer Science and teaching Photography and Digital/Hybrid Scrapbooking Classes. Candra resides in Bakersfield, CA with her husband and three Miniature Dachsunds.

This pretty pink memo board measures 1ft. x 3ft. and includes paper that is hand painted with glimmer mist, three great photofilters, gorgeous Ioron Orchid clear tape and ribbons, two journaling/note cards, beautiful embellishments, and of course the phenomenal Prima flowers. This all taught by our own PrimaDonna, Candra George.....(one lucky student will receive a special Prima gift!!!)

A Crop with Candra will follow immediately after her class. Price of Crop is $5.00 and will be from 2pm-11pm. Customers can come meet and crop with Candra and partake in a fun, Prima inspired make-n-take. Cookies and lemonade will be provided. Hope to see you there!!!

Join the Simply Scrapbook's Bookclub!

This unique book club is a place for scrapbookers of all levels to come learn and share with each other. It runs in three-month sessions and includes kits full of fabulous product. Each is put together by a different member each month and focuses on different techniques. For each three-month session we work out of a different trade book that is voted on by the members of the club. New members are welcome at the beginning of the session. Members of the book club will get sneak peaks of new product and upcoming events. This is a great place to share your passion for scrapbooking and to meet new friends. Come share your creativity with us!

Photography in a Snap; Sessions 1-4
Interested in learning how to take better photos? Tired of not knowing how to use your camera? This is what you've been waiting for! In this four class series; Candra will walk you through everything from how to take beautiful photos, to learning about lighting, angles and more. It is also a "hands-on" series, so be sure to bring your camera! This class in four session increments:

Session 1: Seeing through new eyes! Tips and tricks to better family photos (and looking better in them yourselves.)

Session 2: Get off Auto!! Moving past auto setting on your camera. Includes an in store photo shoot with model.

Session 3: Let there be Light! Setting your camera for specific lighting.

Session 4: Get your hands dirty!!! Field Trip to Hart Park and photo shoot with multiple models included.
